I actually had absolutely zero to do with this sequence! I had another ghost children sequence, though. For a while. It's impossible to to take any ownership of a feature film.

Holy cow. Claymation is usually quite creepy to me but this is totally adorable! And smooth! I'm excited for this movie. 2009? :( LAME.

There's no clay involved, actually! It's called stop-motion. All the puppets are resin and silicone I think.

Jesus, that's some damned fine animation, especially in her shoulders as she sighs and in the face. There's enough crazy shit going on in her face that I suppose its safe to assume that she's got a clockwork head rather than animated using face-replacement. Oy vey.

It's replacement-faces, actually!

That's the closest I've seen stop-motion come to looking like CGI. I'm but impressed and disappointed at the same time! Still a thumbs up.

Haha, I was convinced Corpse Bride was CGI until I was told otherwise. The rest of the movie is a bit more organic-feeling than this clip. The puppets have fabric clothes that kind of wobble a little and look textured, it's pretty neat. They're consciously trying to make it look handmade, just a little. So don't be disappointed yet! <:)

Holy cow. I've never seen replacement like that before. It's really bewildering/inspiring. Kudos and kudos and kudos!
